Cruise holidays are loved by countless Britons but they have not been possible for many months. The major cruise lines all have different start dates for when they hope to return to the seas. This is what you need to know about P&O Cruises, Carnival Cruise, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise, Marella Cruise, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Saga Cruises and Virgin Voyages.

Carnival Cruise

Carnival Cruises are now cancelled until May 31, it was announced yesterday.

The company posted on Twitter: “Carnival Cruise Line will today be extending our pause in operations from U.S. ports through May 31, 2021.

“We continue to work on plans to resume operations and are encouraged by the focus to expedite vaccine production and distribution which are having a demonstrated impact on improving public health.

“If your cruise has been impacted, you will receive an email today with your options.”

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises are cancelled until April 30.

The line said in a statement: “As we work closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and government authorities around the world toward this shared goal, we are extending the suspension of all sailings departing between March 1 and April 30, 2021, along with the Apex Transatlantic sailing of 5/1/21 and the 2021 Europe Season for Edge and Constellation’s sailings departing May – October 2021.”

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line announced yesterday it is axing all sailings through May and that some routes would be affected even longer.

Sailings of the Disney Magic to Europe were cancelled until August 10, 2021.

Disney also said: “We are evaluating various options for the Disney Wonder’s scheduled season in Alaska” after Canada announced it “will not allow ships with more than 100 passengers to dock in any Canadian port until February 28, 2022.”

Marella Cruise

TUI-owned Marella Cruises sailings due to depart on or before May 16, 2021, have been cancelled.

“If your booking can’t take place due to COVID-19, we’ll be in touch as far in advance as possible to discuss your options with you,” said TUI.

MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises has cancelled many of its sailings, with the following axed:

MSC Magnifica cruises until April 29 2021

MSC Armonia, Divina and Meraviglia cruises until April20, 2021.

MSC Opera South Africa sailings on February 1 and 28, 2021 and March 5 and 9, 2021

MSC Fantasia until April 30, 2021

All MSC Preziosa and Seaview South America sailings for the upcoming season

Norwegian Cruise Line

All Norwegian Cruise Line cruises up to and including May 31, 2021, are cancelled.

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises has “extended its pause in operations into April 2021.”

The 2021 Caribbean spring season has been suspended on Brittania and Azura.

World cruises onboard Aurora and Arcadia are also cancelled through to the end of spring 2021 and the following individual cruises have also been cancelled: Arcadia (May 18, 2021) and Aurora (March 12, 2021).

Princess Cruises

All global cruises until May 14, 2021, are cancelled as are all cruises longer than seven days going to or from a US port.

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean has axed all cruises up to and including April 30, 202.

However, Spectrum of the Seas is only cancelled until February 28, 2021.

Quantum of the Seas Alaska 2021 season from May 10 to September 27, 2021, has also been cancelled.

Saga Cruises

The following Saga Cruises are cancelled:

River cruises until May 1, 2021

Spirit of Discovery until April 12, 2021

Spirit of Adventure until May 4, 2021

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages ship Scarlet Lady will sail on May 9, 2021, while the Valiant Lady will start on November 14, 2021.
