UAE extends suspension of foreign nationals for two weeks amid Covid-19

It announced 210 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the total number of reported cases in the UAE to 1,024

The UAE has extended the suspension of foreign nationals holding valid residence visas from Thursday April 3rd and for a renewable period of two weeks in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19, according to Emirates news agency WAM.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has requested residents with valid visas, and who are staying abroad, to register in the “Tawajudi for Residents” service to facilitate emergency returns.

On Thursday the UAE announced 210 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of reported cases in the country to 1,024. It said the infected, who are from various nationalities, are all stable and receiving the necessary treatment.

It also announced the recovery of 35 people, bring the total number of UAE recoveries to 96.
