easyJet may have grounded its entire fleet of planes but the airline is still keen to encourage future bookings. The company is one of many badly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. However, easyJet customers can currently make the most of the situation thanks to the carrier’s latest bargain offering for trips later in the year.

easyJet is currently letting passengers add hold luggage onto their ticket for just 99p.
Normally hold luggage up to 15kg (only available to purchase online) costs between £6.99 to £34.99 (minimum and maximum charges per item, per flight) explains easyJet’s website.
Meanwhile, hold luggage up to 23kg sets jet-setters back by £9.49 up to £37.49.
At the airport, this will cost £40 at the bag drop desk or £50 at the boarding gate.
However, right now, adding any hold bag (up to 15kg or up to 23kg) only costs 99p.
What’s more, any sports equipment will also cost just 99p to add on.
The offer is applicable on all flight bookings departing after June 1 2020.
Thrilled easyJet customers took to TripAdvisor to share the news.
One claimed that she had been alerted to the offer in an email.
They said it read: “Whether you’re dreaming of being up in the mountains or diving in freshwater lakes, when the time comes to explore again, nothing beats the great outdoors.
“To help you make the most of your adventure, we’ve made all check-in bags just 99p.
“Plus, we’ll fly your sports equipment for 99p too, so you can pack your bike, clubs, surfboard or skis and make your next getaway one to remember.”

However, travellers need to act fast as they don’t have long to make the most of the offer.
easyJet customers will have to snap the offer up before Friday 17 April.
This means you’ll have to book before midnight tomorrow (Thursday 16 April).
easyJet has not clarified the offer on its baggage page on its website.
However, it does state the following on the airline’s home page: “Bags and sports equipment are now just 99p.
“Includes all hold bags, bikes, skis, surfboards, golf clubs, tents and rucksacks. Simply book before Friday 17th April 2020.”
easyJet hasn’t given an indication of when flights will resume.
Staff have been given a two-month leave of absence, so easyJet will remain inactive until June at least due to the pandemic.
