Haven holidays is set to extend its 2020 season right through until the end of November for the first time in its history. It comes amid a surge in domestic holiday bookings in the UK.
Britons will now have even more opportunity to enjoy a “Haven Hideaway” holiday at one of 16 Haven parks across the country.
The move will see the usual season lengthened for four extra weeks at parks in all corners of the country.
Holiday hotspots included in the offering are Berwick in Northumberland, Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset, Caister-on-Sea in Norfolk, Combe Haven in Sussex, Craig Tara in Scotland, Devon Cliffs in Devon, Golden Sands in Lincolnshire, Hafan Y Mor in North Wales, Kiln Park in South Wales, Lakeland in the Lake District, Marton Mere in Blackpool, Presthaven in North Wales, Perran Sands in Cornwall, Primrose Valley in Yorkshire, Seton Sand in Scotland and Weymouth Bay in Dorset.
Gerard Tempest, director of guest and proposition at Haven, said: “We’re delighted to be able to extend our 2020 season and with that, the chance for a UK getaway.
“With a number of travel restrictions in place and previous closures to holiday parks throughout the UK, there are many guests that weren’t able to enjoy the holiday they had previously planned for 2020.
“We hope that by extending our season, we’re able to allow more people the chance to get a break by the coast.”
The Haven Hideaway deal is an opportunity for travellers to enjoy a self-contained and self-catered holiday in a private home on the coast.
Facilities include takeaway food options, onsite supermarkets and laundrettes, and easy access to stunning beaches.

Many of the sites are also dog-friendly to ensure the whole family can benefit from a break before the end of the year.
The decision comes following an impressive resurgence following months of closures in the early summer season.
After opening its doors in July, many of Haven’s sites found themselves suddenly fully booked for the foreseeable future.
“Our 2020 and 2021 sales have been strong across all regions in the UK and since launching Haven Hideaway in May, we’ve seen web bookings increase by 96 percent over a one-week period,” added Mr Tempest.
“Because of this, we know holidaymakers are still looking for the chance to safely getaway during the pandemic and want to be able to provide that for as many people as possible.”
The staycation provider is also extending its “Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee” on all November bookings.
The free guarantee will allow guests the ability to change their break any time from 28 days before, right up until three days of their arrival date should there be issues preventing them from travelling due to Coronavirus.
Haven is also focussing on heightened cleaning and hygiene measures in the wake of the pandemic to ensure customer and staff safety on all of its sites.
As part of its “Haven Caravan Cleanliness Guarantee” (HCCG) every accommodation facility will be sealed to show it has not been reentered since it was cleaned by staff.
All cleaning staff will be kitted out in PPE during the process.
Guests will also be allotted time frames to arrive in order to minimise contact with other guests.
Sites are also enforcing a one-way system with signposted directions to help guests adhere to social distancing.
