Naga tells Matt to stop laughing at stranded cruise passengers

A newly-launched luxury cruise company will set sail in late 2025 — but those who want access to this once-in-a-lifetime experience will have to wait for a personal invitation from the founder himself.

Larry Pimentel, the CEO of Four Seasons Yachts, has spent a whopping $4.3million per stateroom on the luxury cruise line, whose ships only have 96 staterooms on board.

The price per person is an eye-watering $2500 per person per night.

And Pimentel said that only those who he personally invites will get to enjoy this luxury experience.

“It was important not only from an audience perspective but also from a category perspective to lean into scarcity,” he said to Penta Magazine.

“To this end, voyages are being distributed by invitation only, beginning with Four Seasons guests and travel partners. Having this type of managed distribution system puts us more in the realm of a luxury membership club than a discrete product,” he continued. “This strategy sets us up to build more of a community around our offering and long-term relationship with our brand.”

Pimentel also says that the guest to staff ratio is 1:1, meaning that each person will have an individual worker in their stateroom catering to their needs.

That personalized care, said Pimentel, also includes the staff handling all shore excursions.
