With streets lined with independent shops, this pretty commuter town has been named one of the best places to live in the UK.<\/p>\n
Sudbury in Suffolk has been praised for its\u00a0“historic town setting” and the “miles of\u00a0tranquil riverside walks right on your doorstep” by Muddy Stilettos who named it in its 2023 list of the top 250 places to live in the country.<\/p>\n
The travel blog, which also featured the town in its 2022 list, also praised it for its charm and creative history as the former home of\u00a0Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable.<\/p>\n
Sudbury is also home to the Grade I listed St Peter’s Church which stands in its town centre along with Sudbury Corn Exchange which was built in the 1830s and currently operates as the town’s library.<\/p>\n
The town even has a market held twice weekly, on Thursday and Saturday, giving visitors the perfect opportunity to pick up fresh local produce.<\/p>\n
