Christmas fans can enjoy the ultimate festive holiday by spending the night in Santa's Cabin while helping out with the huge backlog of children\u2019s letters at his Official Post Office, to sort everyone into the naughty and nice lists. <\/p>\n
As part of the package, kids will become fully fledged elves for the day and participate in lots of fun, festive tasks like emptying mailboxes and helping the elves to stamp the post with the special Arctic Circle postmark before it goes to Santa Claus.<\/p>\n
They\u2019ll also learn about the day-to-day workings of the Post Office. The Post Office is, of course, set in the winter wonderland of Rovaniemi, Finland and it gets around 30,000 letters daily!<\/p>\n

The benefit for your hard work is that guests get to stay in Santa\u2019s cabin for free thanks to Airbnb. After you\u2019ve finished a long day of elf work guests will be treated to traditional Finnish meals, a snowmobile activity, a trip to see the northern lights and \u2013 the most Finnish experience of all \u2013 a traditional sauna.<\/p>\n

Santa Claus\u2019 Cabin, where you\u2019ll spend the night, is close by to the Post office and has been decked out with a Yuletide makeover. Your free room will be covered in traditional Lapland decorations, a wardrobe of elf-wear for you to try on and all the accessories you could ever expect from a cozy elven bolthole in the Arctic circle.<\/p>\n
Now, there are some rules for guests that you\u2019ll have to follow if you manage to stay. You must ask Santa nicely before getting any snaps with him! Plus, you have to take your shoes off inside the cabin \u2013 you\u2019ll be sorry if you trample snow into the handwoven Lapland rugs.<\/p>\n
You are allowed to roast chestnuts on the open fire rest assured, but you should always dress appropriately. A felt hat with a jingling bell paired with a freshly ironed tunic is the preferred attire in the Santa Claus Village.<\/p>\n
