A list of Europe's best party towns has been released, and they all offer incredibly cheap drinks, gorgeous views and some epic bars and clubs.
While we all know the classic hotspots like Ibiza, Sunny Beach, Ayia Napa and Amsterdam, there are some hotspots that can often be overlooked. Travel company Moving to Spain conducted some research and looked at the number of nightclubs and bars per 100,000 people to find the best party towns
Topping the list is a lesser-known Swiss town, Delemony which had an impressive 562.06 bars and nightclubs per 100,000 people. The town only has around 12,000 residents but it’s got plenty of nightlife for visitors to dive into.

In terms of bars and pubs there’s everything from Irish pubs to cocktail bars and there’s the Stage Club for partying. Drinking a beer in Delemont isn’t outrageously overly expensive with the cost an average of £2.35, according to PintPrice. That’s much more reasonable than the £7.50 it costs in Villars or Geneva’s cost of £5.93.
Delemont is just an hour and a half away from London on a flight, but its small size may put people off. For those, we’d suggest heading to the second party town on the list – Prague, Czech Republic with over 54.22 bars and nightclubs per 100,000 people.
PintPrice puts the cost of a beer at just £1 in Prague making it great value for money. The Czech Republic is well known for its love of beer and many breweries – plus there’s even a beer festival each year and beer spas where you bathe in the stuff!
In Prague there are plenty of bars, pubs, clubs, cabarets and jazz clubs. The city is popular with stag and hen dos and you can enjoy a group beer bike where you cycle around on a moving table taking in the sights and sipping on booze or you can head on a boozy boat ride. In fact, it's got such a great party scene that one bloke even booked a stag do to himself so he could hit the bars and strip clubs.
As it's quite a popular location, the good news is that there are plenty of budget-friendly stays too; for example when we took a look, we could find stays from £18 a night at the A&O Prague Rhea.
The third top spot for parties was Lausanne also in Switzerland followed by Geneva – the two cities are so close that you can actually get a boat between them on Lake Geneva. The lake and surrounding countryside are truly a sight to behold.
Check out the top 10 best party spots in Europe ranked:
- Delemont, Switzerland
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Lausanne, Switzerland
- Geneva, Switzerland
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Braganca, Portugal
- Barcelona, Spain

Less visited spots like spots like Belgrade in Serbia have £1 pints and clubs that float on the river. It’s worth bagging a flight for the nightlife. Meanwhile, a bit closer to home Lagos, in Portugal, can be reached via Faro and has gorgeous beaches, all-night beach parties, DJ nights and dozens of fun clubs and bars for a reasonable price.
