The fascinating Italian destination that’s 21C in November

While the UK freezes over, there are blissfully warm parts of southern Europe you could take a trip to.

The Met Office said the daily average temperature of Sicily in November is 21C, only dropping to 17C in December.

Near the end of November there is the ChocoModica festival, Italian Breaks, says.

The enchanting festival is dedicated to Sicilian chocolate, so it’s an ideal spot for people who adore the cocoa bean.

Those keen to explore should visit the city of Syracuse, which has ancient Greek ruins and gorgeous baroque architecture.

Then there’s the largest archaeological site in Europe, Selinunte Archeological Pak.

Not too far away is Malta, so it makes sense that you can appreciate weather averaging around 20C in November.

Travel company TUI said there is a “65 percent chance of a perfect sunny day” in Malta during December.

A four-day all-inclusive holiday to Malta can cost around £332 per person.

A traditionally Roman Catholic country, the lead-up to Christmas is a big deal in Malta.

In December, the Christmas decorations are up, shops stay open for longer, and you can expect to hear Christmas carols on the streets.
